US President Donald Trump will announce his plans to roll back Obama's rapprochement with Cuba this Friday in Miami.

In the light of that kind of prediction, he noted the fact that although Trump says he is a president interested in promoting jobs and remove regulations that hinder growth, reversing the Cuba policy would be opposed to that.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters on Thursday that Trump will "make an announcement on U.S. -Cuba policy", but did not offer any further details on the matter. We and the Cuban government continue to have big differences over human rights, as we do with many countries, including several that President Trump recently visited.

It could make Americans, or at least South Floridians, more aware of how critical Central America's economic and security recovery is to the USA, from trade to drugs to immigration. Companies like Airbnb, Google and Sheraton hotels began to operate in Cuba. This will essentially shield USA airlines and cruise lines now serving the island. The volume of US exports to Cuba-especially poultry, rice, corn, wheat, and soy-currently allowed under the USA embargo could also plummet, since the Cuban government monopolizes import and export trade on the island. All other parties are banned.

It has been 60 years since Alexa Ferrer's grandparents fell in love on Havana's famous seafront esplanade, the Malecón - but only three weeks since the third-generation Cuban American was finally able to visit her family's homeland and retrace their first romantic footsteps. But Cuban-American Sen. Marco Rubio and Rep. Mario Díaz-Balart insinuated themselves into the process. Trump will not close down the US Embassy in Havana, which Obama re-established in 2015.

But watchdog groups such as Human Rights Watch are skeptical of a return to the terms of the half-century Cold War stand-off, with its total trade embargo and no diplomatic ties.

Polls suggest most Americans support the liberalized policy towards Cuba pushed by the Obama administration.

One important thing of note: You can still bring back cigars and other otherwise-banned Cuban products as long as the value is less than $100. At least not yet.

Many Cubans who have not felt much impact from the detente on their daily lives agree, and feel resigned. "Rubio and his wife, who was, by the way, lovely, and we had a very good discussion about Cuba because we have very similar views on Cuba", Trump said, adding that "Cuban people" were "very good" to him in the 2016 election.

While there hasn't been much progress, both governments have already been negotiating on thorny issues like human rights, fugitives and repatriations for Americans who had their property seized after the revolution.

"If Trump is interested in making it harder for Americans to come to Cuba through special permits or new categories, I think it's going to fail". Cuban officials proudly say they have already withstood over 50 years of punishing USA sanctions. Providing sanctions relief to empower the Cuban people does not mean we should give up our ability to pressure the Castro regime.

Despite the years of hostility, Cubans generally love America.

Cuban state news outlets have barely covered such reports but they have trickled through via illegal satellite television and conversations with relatives overseas.

For the first time on October 25th, 2016 the presidency of U.S. received the endorsement from the Veterans Group.
